The Clamex S-20 is a detachable connector for the Lamello system for material thicknesses from 16 mm and is fixed in a groove by means of screws. Similar to a cam connector, the Clamex S-20 is connected and released via a lever through the minimalist 6 mm opening. The Clamex S-20 stands for perfect aesthetics due to the small opening of only 6 mm in diameter and enables joints to be almost completely concealed. It does not require glue, enables aesthetic joints at all angles and is ideal for fixed or detachable joints. The size of the Clamex S-20 is identical to the original size 20 wooden biscuit and the connector thickness is also 4 mm. This means that the 4 mm grooves, just like the wooden biscuit, can be milled with any biscuit joiner and at almost any angle. Each package contains a drill jig for access holes that can be drilled at any angle from 22.5°–180°. The narrow connectors are then inserted into the workpieces and fastened with two specially manufactured Clamex S-20 screws. Finally, the two workpieces are connected with a hex key. Time waiting for the glue to dry is therefore completely eliminated and an assembled workpiece can be further processed straight away or made available for shipping. Even if a Zeta P2 is available for milling P-System connectors, it may be useful to take a standard groove cutter to the construction site instead of the Zeta P2. A workpiece that needs to be adapted on site can be machined with a Classic X and mounted with a Clamex S-20, even if the rest of the furniture has been finished in the workshop with the Clamex P-14. Visually, this is not noticeable as the size of the hole is identical.
